Located within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Monsoon Mist Coffee imports coffee grown on family holdings of coffee plantations in the Western Ghats in Southern India.

Currently, we are importing some premium, high-grown (in shade) Arabica beans - Plantation A, Plantation B, and Plantation PB as well as Robusta Parchment AB, Robusta Cherry AB.

Our family plantations are situated on the Mullayanagiri mountain ranges in the district of Chikmagalur and most of the coffee for import comes from this region. These mountains receive abundant rainfall throughout the monsoons and plenty of sunshine through summer. The high elevation (over 4,000 feet above sea level) at which this coffee is grown gives it its distinct aroma when roasted. It is the same reason why coffee grown in Hawaii tastes so good.

Another wonderful characteristic of our coffee is that it is shade-grown. India is perhaps the only country in the world to grow all of its coffee in shade. This is beneficial in two ways – it shields the coffee from extreme sunlight in the Indian summer and also protects and retains the flora and fauna native to the rain-forests, creating eco-friendly farms

Our coffee plantations offer some of the best high-grown Arabicas in the World (Plantation A, B and PB) as well as strong-bodied Robusta (Parchment & Cherry). Indian coffee is beginning to make its mark internationally and has already found a loyal following of coffee drinkers around the world.
